I'm playing as Frankie Donovan, 'unleash fury' is now useless. After using it, the turn ends instead of getting to use another AP as stated in discription. So its basically just a normal melee attack now.

Yeah, doesn't sound like you are listening to me. I know how it is suppose to work, and it did end your turn if you miss. BEFORE THE PATCH. But like I said, AFTER THE PATCH, it doesn't restore the AP point. There is no "attack 3 times" there is only attack 1 time regardless if it hits or not (not 3). Next time, how about you read the actual post? Sound good?I am playing as frankie donovan in boss difficulty, "lone wolf challenge", and i am kicking ass.
I find that "unleash fury" always allows you an extra action if you use it in the first turn, and after that it has a % to end your turn (but sometimes it does not end it and you get extra AP). It is less predictable, and I like it better, that makes frankie less overpowered and more fun to play.
Also, it is not at all a normal melee attack. You attack 3 times (not 1), make much more damage., and it is often a kill. It is still a super powerful skill, but you have to combine it with other attacks and skill, and use it in the right moment (so more tactical play instead of just "spam unleash fury" play).
Yeah, you aren't listening.I am sorry, but i think it is you who are not listening, or maybe it is my fault for not explaining it a bit better, lets try again:
- You say it is useless, and i explain why, in my opinion, it is far from useless. Of course it is just my humble opinion, but i find the skill extremely useful.
- You say that the turns ends, and i am explaining that there is a % to end the turn, but many times it does not end the turn, and you still have AP. It is guaranteed in the first turn of the combat, it NEVER ends the turn then, so you can even use it 2 times in a row in the first turn (usually 2 guaranteed kills right at the start of the combat is not bad). After the first turn there is a % to end the turn, but it is a %.
- You say it is a normal melee attack. I dont know you, but when i use a melee attack it ALWAYS ends the turn, even if it is the first one. First difference. Second, when i attack with melee maybe i do (depending on the melee skill, weapon...) 40 damage. If i use "unleash fury" i maybe do 120 damage. I dont know, but for me it is a huge difference. And yes, it is 3 attacks (you have a % to hit for every one of the three attacks, so you can hit one time and fail 2), in the same way that you attack twice with "double bullet" skill (you shot two times, each one has a % to hit), and some other special skills.
So yes, i have read your post, and as you can see i have answered the three different statements you make in your post, trying to be helpful. If you just want to rant and do not like people with a different opinion answering then let me know and i will not waste my time.
I just played the game for the first time in awhile (PS4), to give you as much info as possible, and had to update to 1.05 and now the problem is solved and I am getting that AP point back. After playing awhile, it doesn't always give me the AP back even though the attacks land and the guy was killed.Hey Wanuby, thank you for reaching out. I've seen what you're saying and have reproduced it, a case is made for programming to look deeper into this.
Hello , I am also PS4 player , but I only have the newest patch that is 1.02 !!I just played the game for the first time in awhile (PS4), to give you as much info as possible, and had to update to 1.05 and now the problem is solved and I am getting that AP point back. After playing awhile, it doesn't always give me the AP back even though the attacks land and the guy was killed.
That's a shame. He's one of those bosses that make the single dude run through is easier for. That skill/ability has never worked right for me on any patch so I just don't use him anymore. Irritating since it seems only some have this problem and others not.
Playing on Series X.
