Patches and Crashes.

Hi-I now have a problem in that after I have uninstalled, reinstalled & installed v105cNA, when I start game from desktop shortcut & hit ESC, game crashes back to desktop. Also, when I start game from desktop shortcut, let it run through intro, it also crashes back to desktop.?-after reinstallation, do I have to install v1.03, 1.04, 1.05 in sequence before I install 1.05c? Reason for all this activity is when I went to US 1941 scenario, the Production screen values were WAY off- like in the 20's & 30s IC. I was trying to correct this when I ran into these problems. I have HOI on 2 computers, but the one working correctly has a very small screen. To save my eyes, I'm trying to get it right on big screen. Suggestions? Many thanks, Hugh Browne.

You only need to install 1.05 before 1.05c. Rename the avi folder to stop the intro video from running. Set desktop color depth to 16-bit (65,536 colors). You should probably post the details of the production screen problem in the bug forum if you weren't running any mods.

Follow jdrou's suggestions and also make sure you have no programs running in the background, Virus protection, ICQ/Messager ...

Which publisher's patch are you trying to download and what link are you using? I was just able to download the Strategy First version (at 400KB/sec).
