Paradox is not a publisher!, they are the developer. What other LOGO is on your CD? Where did you buy your CD? (what country) was it from a store or online...
A splash screen is when you start the game the little animation or movie that says the companies name.

What about the box and the manual, I guarantee you the publishers logo is on them.

We were asking about the CD, you mentioned above that you still had that. So what logos are on it? Paradox logo and what other ones?
Do a complete uninstall, see the Self help guide at the top of this forum and notice that #1 is a link with instructions on how to do this. Then do a fresh install and apply the NA 1.03 patch.

Well I do not know what the problem is. If you are sure you have a legit Strategy First version, you can contact the publisher and see if they have a solution for you.
