PC - "Runtime Error" when launching EUIV [SOLVED]

Full Error:

"Runtime Error!

Program: ...86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Europa Universalis IV\eu4.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Searching the forums I only saw references to this sort of error back to some EUIII mods.
None of the tricks in the known issues thread seem to resolve it for me.

Hi wasikiro,

Please try installing the following:
First, download and run Visual C++ 2010.
Second, download and run Visual C++ 2010 SP1.
When that is done, go to Windows Update and make sure you have downloaded and installed all .NET updates Windows Update gives you.

I had SP1 but it looks like I needed to do a repair.
That did it for me, thanks for the prompt response!
