The peace deals for CK should have these options:

Tribute, one time or yearly

Sceding Provence must have a claim (to help historically)

Sceding a vassel

Most Important: Giving away a title, example England conquers Eire, The High King must lay down his title to the English and become a vassel: Great lose of prestige, lose that coat of arms and claim. Much more important to the people of the Middle Ages than world conqest.

Another common peace deal...

"Let's call it quits for a while so we can go home, harvest the crops, not try to field a cold, starving army all winter, plant the crops next spring...and then I'll see you again next May."

:)

That's not a peace deal, that is only a truce.:D

True... but it should still be an option. The duration should be variable as well. Something like "withdraw your troops and don't take hostile actions for 4 years"... or 6 or 10 or 2.

You're bang on...except that should be "months" not "years". Economics and realism....there were a ton of wars that lasted for years but were only actively campaigned upon during the "opportune" months between the planting and reaping of harvests.

Like the 100 years war...

But, will you be able to lay your own claims? How else are claims created besides someone annoucing it?

Can you do that (maybe with some penalties to ensure that it isnt abused)? I think that would add ALOT to this game, if they havent put it in already... ;)

Claims will probably be laid, through royal marriages, heir death etc. But I would Also like to see a semi-historical event like a Confrence of Arras, that would make it so if the duke of burgandy died heirless, 1/3 would go to the church, 1/3 to the HRE, and 1/3 to France, just to add more flavor. Also we should be able to create our own laws of succesion which would lead to different types of claims.

Also, a map that would show your dynasties claims, lands ruled by members of your dynasty, royal marriages, indirectly ruled land like the HRE by the emperor, and all your vassels. Another cool feature clicking on the land would take you to the family tree, and show you that persons stats, titles, family, claims, coa etc. useful before a royal marriage proposal.

So Producers, developers anything like this in CK

I think new claims should be allowed via the dynastic model. If you have a claim to the throne of some certain land, war should be allowed (e.g. the 100 Years War).

On this time scale I don't think monthly truces would be doable. A lot of times hostilities just ceased during certain times of the year without a formal truce/peace deal.

You are correct though, truce should certainly be a part of the game as a separate diplomatic option from peace.:)
