In a situation where I'm at war with another ruler who is also at war with one of my vassals, any peace short of the complete annexation of the other rulers demesne will not end the war between him and my vassal. So I dare never make peace until the vassal and the enemy make peace of their own accord, or my vassal could be overrun without me being able to help.
The most logical solution, given the nature of the Feudal Lord-vassall relationship, would be that a peace with an overlord automatically ends all wars with the vassalls of the overlord.
Another option would be to have a peace with my vassalls as a peace condition.
