Just got a series X, mate on the Series S
Playing multi with the S hosting, my guy has more DLC

Mid game the UI was being laggy, id like to describe it better. Being disobedient, not taking orders, resetting group selections on fleets before you get to select the whole stack.
Dam its faster than it was, much. Normally my guy would host on his series S and id join on My Digi XboneS.
Its not just multi player, i had same issues to a lesser extent solo.
Both internet connections are fire and we both in UK.

Needs a little optimisation somewhere guys, something is upsetting it X

also title screen wont save my linked account

the s and x did get optimization

there isn't really much more they can do in that regard at least not without stopping all progress on any dlc work to create a new console edition of stellaris designed around the new systems

and the fanbase is already kind of mad as it is about dlc stuff...i'd rather not be the one to tell them about something like that if that is the route they take

to be fair, we've started a new game with tweeks. Lower habbitable, turned off the Advanced bio thing that make new kinds of pops constantly when different races breed. We getting closer to mid/late game now, and its better. But if you want to do anything substantial done the UI still is disobedient and game needs pausing to setup queue or move large fleets.

It might help if i was to host or we had some more humans to take the AI load off the series S.
Id host but ive not got many dlcs. And its really only the extra graphics core and a 0.2 Ghz advantage over S anyway.

your best bet is if playing with the max number of people on console, minimize ai empires

that includes marauders and fallen empires

something like 2-3 ai empires, 1 marauder clan, 1 fe

i'd also say even tone down the number of habitable worlds and pre-ftl civs

sure, it leaves a lot to be desired, but it would at least partly curtail the ai causing issues with the game lag
