Hi, i have an AMD Atlhon x2 +5200, 2 GB RAM and a Gforce 250 GTS.

I play well the game the firts days but now im in the year 1962 in a massive war and each 24hours the game freezes like processing something and then continues, always each 24hours.

I know this is a game process but i thought i needed a quad core for HOI 3 not for HOI 2.
I have the last patch.

Is there any program to improve performance?

What version of the game are you running (HOI2, HOI2DD or HOI2Arma.

And which patch.

And how long of a pause are you experiencing?

Was there any specific reason not to use the latst version of Hoi2 ?
AFAIR the latest all-inclusive patch for Hoi2 is 1.3a and an unofficial data/AI update called 1.3b is available too.

One could assume that in 1962 and during a massive war the game engine is slightly overloaded with event and supply calculation. This is what happens at 0:00 hours.

Did you check how much memory is in use by the hoi2.exe (Windoze task manager) and how much is left for your system ?

Considering the date, the amount of armies and the version of HOI2 you are using 4.5 seconds is not that horrible.

Plus i am assuming that you are using the no-time limit patch as HOI2 standard does not that high in date.
