Hello,

I'm new to CK3; I've been playing for 32 hours since I bought it two weeks ago. I haven't noticed any updates or changes recently, but for the last four days, the game has been basically unplayable. After about three minutes, the default map view drops to around 14 FPS, but as soon as I select any province, the game runs smoothly at 60 FPS.

Events also lag for some reason, even more than the map. I don't think this should be happening, especially since my laptop exceeds the minimum specs. Lowering the graphics settings didn't help at all.

My drivers are up to date, and I verified the game files using Steam's integrity check, but that didn’t help.

Is teher somthing i could do?

Sincerely, a loyal servant of CK3

Pc specs:

Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13420H
Graphics: RTX 4050 Mobile
RAM: 32.0 GB

There's been no game patch for ~2 weeks, so if this only happened days ago this is not due to some game bug I'm afraid.

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Crusader Kings 3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/ folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test with a new campaign, NOT any existing one

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.
