Few X4 games have had visual 3d buildings like Master of Orion 2 had on the planets, sure it were fake 3d but it had such a immersion to see your colony grow it almost looked like a city when it were fully grown.
Other X4 games have top down visual a flat map on the planets with "icons/portraits" that really looked bad.

I really hope Stellaris have a nice colony view such as Moo2 but ofc with modern grpahics.
