I played with a guy that had a M16 machinegun and a staff that summons creatures while I was playing with the standard guy.
Needless to say that round was a total bullsh*t! After I asked him to get the normal guy, I started playing fair.

Is this new Magicka PvP gonna be the same bullsh*t? Why launch more of the same?

If you are referring to Magicka: Wizard Wars, then no. It will not be the same. Please head over to the WW forums for more info :)

I'll do that, but you do get my frustration, right? I'd like someone to comment on that. 'Cause I though it is very unbalanced due to these add-ons you guys have to buy. They should be able only on campaign mode.

In Magicka, PvP was just put in for the fun...

In Wizard Wars PvP is the main focus. Balance is essential and has a strong focus from the development team.

I suppose you mainly used beams as attack spells?
Yeah, those are bad.

To defend against the M16A1 simply cast an armour?
To do this you simply have to press E+D+[middle mouse button].
It'll give you immunity to arcane, lightning and physical damage. Note: M16A1 does physical damage.

What kind of creatures did he summon? Trees or undead?
To kill the treespirit simply cast EFDF. That's a burning stone wall, which will keep it busy.
Against undead creatures, simply area-cast QWER, if that doesn't work shoot a stone (DDDDD force-cast). Don't charge it though.

Now to the spells you should use to successfully annihilite your opponent.
Beams are lame! Do NOT use them in PvP!
Aiming is hard, damage is low and they can easily be avoided.

Use spells with shield in it (E)!
Those spells can be walls, mines and storms; armours and auras.

Now some tactics:
First off, never run around unprotected, use armours or auras for immunities to diverse elements.

Try using QEDQQ and ERDRR enchants to freeze your totally unfair playing opponent.
Then cast EARAR for awesome lightning damage and to keep him frozen.

Another nice method, less tactic but just brute force:
Cast QSDF and SDR alternately.
For doing this you have press the keys at the same time.

http://youtu.be/RyfBRruBdR0?t=6m

Or combine both tactics and do a quick QSDF + SDR volley to freeze him quickly, then cast EARAR (enchant) to keep them frozen and then spam only QSDF.
Don't forget to recast the EARAR thingy when it vanishes.

For more information about spells, the combat system and PvP, read the guide I linked above twice.

The game is balanced. [removed].

Now to the video and the "awesome" guy.
Sorry to disappoint you, but the "awesome" guy actually isn't awesome at all, his opponents are just lame. Doesn't mean he isn't good though.

Hengest uses way more defensive spells than his opponents and had better (not exactly good, but good enough apparently) tactics as well.
You can see that throughout the whole video, Hengest uses A LOT of shields and EFD-walls to defend against beams and the very few other spells.
His opponents don't do that at all.
They didn't even TRY to learn from their mistakes.
Most of the times they just run towards him from the same direction, making it exteremely easy for Hengest to defend against ALL incoming spells.
Their worst mistake though was running around completely unprotected. And that's just the beginning of the list...
