to play as a minor country, you will have to:
1) start a gc with any major´s and save it,
2) start a gc with any country except the previous major countries and
3) load the savegame of the major´s (1).
... with a little luck, you will soon be annexed by an evil powermongering superpower
p.s.: you can´t continue your minors savegame normally - you´ll have to start as in 2) and then load your actual savegame.
p.s.Hartmann: when i was annexed (as LAT), the game crashed to desktop...
