Playing Mongols?

I'm playing as vladimir, and the horde is showing up. Seeing how effective they are, I wish to play as them. How do I do so?

Edit the save to make them Orthodox, I guess... (Orthodox = Nestorian in this case ).

But why bother? The way they are in 1.02, playing them would be no challenge at all. You could probably get a more difficult game playing as Germany and cheating every five minutes.

open the save, at the start of the file youll see something like this

    C003 = { 
        gender = male 
        type = county 
        dna = "87797514643286" 
        title = { C003 } 
        }

repeated many time.

Just copy this...

    GOLD = { 
        gender = male 
        type = kingdom 
        dna = "87797514643286" 
        title = { GOLD } 
        }

where you want beetwen two of 'em.

each time you save, the entry for GOLD will be deleted (they are pagans), then if you wanna play em with another save, you have to add the entry above again in the new savegame.

And if you want to create titles and grant them, just change the ruler of the Golden Horde to orthodox in the save game, that will allow you to create and grant titles. When you are done, just save the game, edit him back to pagan and play. I´m trying to create events so that the player can, trigger them using the console, so that the ruler can convert to orthodoxy and back so that the player does not edit the save games everytime...
