I already posted. and my thread has been moved to multiplayer where it got forgotten.

Since i still ca't play MP i would like to have some support. I run italian version and i didn't read on the box that i can't play MP with people having uk version.

What are the files which are different between uk and italian version ? if they aren't that big, i can try to get all of them by players.

i already copied the whole scenario folder but it doesn't help.
 
I thought we'd added more info to that post? Essentially it looks like every text file in the game needs to be identical :-(

So the AI, Config and DB directories, plus all their subdirectories, should all be copied across.

I will try and get that requirement relaxed for future versions.

I don't think the game will allow you to use a different patch.
 
Looks like I was wrong - there's a first time for everything.

It's not the Scenario dir that has to be identical, it's just the DB dir - the entire dir structure with the DB dir at the top.

If you can find your post in the MP forum you might add this info to it.

Yesterday night i finally got the version working in MP.

What i did is:

1) Installing the game
2) Apply the 1.07 UK patch on my italian version
3) Apply the beta patch
4) Substitute the AI, DB, Scenarios, Config folders with the ones sent by the Host.

Probably it would have worked even applying the italian patch instead but i didn't try that.
 
I am suprised you got the wrong patch version to even install.

Glad you are up and running though.
 
UK patch, unlike US one, can be installed on any local version. Same for RU version - we use UK patch.
