The game looks incredible so far, with tons of features and I am really hyped.

The only thing that get discussed a lot are the white stripes on lanes, please allow us to disable them!

I am wondering if that's the road usage deterioration showing up as worn paths. Heavier usage more pronounced the lane colors. though if thats the case they should add oil lines between the tire treads.

Or they could all be using white tires and thats just tire residue....

Or.... All the cars are using snow tires (in case it snows) and thats just really bad road damage.

The road surface material makes the different color of "tire trails".
A concrete road surface leads to lighter tire trails while an asphalted road (bituminous surface) makes the trails darker.

I had to increase the contrast but this picture shows it well. Concrete to the left (lighter trails), asphalt to the right (darker trails). I bet there's better real life examples; this one is a high traffic road in my home town that I use every day.

Looks to me (correct me if I’m wrong) the centre of the lane is of a lighter colour. In cs2, where the tyres hit the road is lighter, which seems wrong to me.

The game is still having finishing touches put on. These lines are most likely temporary indicators for pathing as the game is being developed. Most everything in early development is in white or otherwise unrendered versions, then graphics get integrated. This city being presented was built before everything was fully finished. So cycles with no riders, and other textural things should such as the roads should be improved by launch time.

Relax, I'm fairly sure this is just prerelease beta graphics. Not everything is finished
Don’t worry, I’m not nervous. It is something that can be solved. Not sure about this going to be different at release, it might or not. In any case, the devs might have identified this as an issue or not. In the case they haven’t the only way they can fix it is if we tell them it is an issue. Of course they might also have bigger fish to fry, and it is something that can be improved later. Still, it looks terrible IMO and can’t avoid the impulse to say that.:)

Although true, there are some things they may not notice as issues, that one is pretty glaring. And between that and the lack of bikes, I'm sure they are aware as I think these are the most common complaints.

Though i do understand expressing your opinion too, I have many of my own.

I kind of wonder how the developers react to all of our comments. It'd be interesting to see a stat of how many of the common complaints and repeated wish lists are actually coming, vs things that the developers did miss, or didnt consider. Overall I think the developers are doing a pretty good job at listening to feedback from players of CS1 and so forth.

And they probably did release this series of features as a way to try and catch potential issues before going live, in addition to building hype. Though it would be nice if they made a statement like "We are aware and it will be handled before release" so people could find other things to fix. lol.
