i have a weird problem

Game runs fine and dandy at 800 x 600

however if i change res to 1024 x768 or the other one

it launches , i can choose the game start date and nation

but when it starts to load the game it just crashes to desktop ????

Anyone know how to fix this problem please reply as i am pulling my hair out !!!

I am running version 1.05 with no mods

First thing to try is renaming the AVI folder to AVI_back.
After that you can try different refresh rates or adjust the acceleration of the Video Card.
Also updateing the video drivers would be a good idea.

have renamed the avi folder
have latest version of dx and latest version of graphics drivers

have found a strange work around to get into the game i.e launch the scenario rather than CTD but there is graphics coruption on some of the windows with large black squares obscuring certain displays .

workaround is to minimise game to task bar fof a bit then maximise when its loaded scene !!

any other ideas on this please

I have now resolved the problem by reinstalling DX9

Unfortunately i now have problem where by the game crashes/freezes at december 1941 .

I have tried 3 games and still repeats its self .

i didnt encounter this problem before , played through many times .

have latest patch installed downloaded today from DL area - version 1.05

Really lost now as enjoyed playing this game but now it just stops in dec 1941 !!
