how did they fix it?Turns out it was my problem as well, wrong path to the documents folder.
Check your pathway of your Windows Documents folder. If it is not the standard pathway with "C\:" it may cause the problem.how did they fix it?
Going through properties or something? Computer said no, somebody had a similar issue in the windows forums and the above fixed it.FYI you can do all that in File Explorer, you don't need to manually edit the registry. But glad it worked out for you!
yep this helped stupid one drive was in the way xDfor others seeking further direction:
My launcher wasn't working in conjunction with my documents folder in the quick access section of my computer having a bad path name. Pretty sure due to a recent drive format when I'd accidentally changed drive names.
Try:
"Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor
Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on
Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
In the right hand pane, double click Personal
Set its value data to: %USERPROFILE%\Documents
Click OK, then close the Registry Editor
Restart your PC
That will have moved your Documents folder to its correct location . . .
You may need to manually move some files form that OneDrive Documents folder into the correct Documents folder"
Hope this helps somebody.
