If a plot leader is at war with is liege using a plot CB, and he is attacked by someone outside the realm, if he is beaten and the peace he makes with the attacker cedes his last demesne title, the war will end but the people backing him will not be reabsorbed into the realm. Instead they will be at peace with the liege but independent. This does not happen when the plot leader dies, but when he loses his last demesne title.

I hate to "Bump" this, but since patch 1.04 has not fixed this, I thought a save game would make it easier for the devs to fix this. I've attached a save game where the count of Taranto has plotted with the Prince bishop of Benevento to take the duchy of Apulia. I then edited the save game and gave the Duchess of Toscana a claim on Taranto.

Load up the save game. After a couple of weeks the count of Taranto surrenders to Toscana. The war between him and Apulia ends. The prince bishop of benevento becomes independent. How does that make any sense? This is clearly a bug, and can be a pretty major for large empires or kingdoms that have a several vassals involved in a war against their liege. The taking of the last demsene of the leader will end the war and make them independent? I've had a couple of my games ruined because the Byantine Empire became horribly fractured due to this bug.
