For SD, can we please do away with arbitrarily limiting unit costs to 5 point increments, like was the case in wargame? This needlessly caused great difficulty in making price adjustments, especially for lower cost units (10-15 points), where 5 point price increments do not have enough granularity to allow for subtle price adjustments for the sake of balance.

It's likely that they've already done this. In this screenshot you can see what appears to be 1,000+ points banked, and 90 income per (seven seconds?) Obviously these numbers wouldn't make sense if we were retaining the old Wargame point values.
Maybe he is just bad?
Saved all the Income for Phase B?
Was so distracted to explain the game to someone that he forgot to deploy Units?

He may be banking for the next phase, or he may be distracted while showing the game. However, we can make some rough assumptions.

In Wargame you got 7 income every four or five seconds on standard settings. Assuming Steel Division has the same underlying system, we can translate what's in the screenshot into Wargame terms

Income of 7/90 = .07777777
Bank of 1220*.077777 = about 95 points.

Therefore we can infer that he has saved up something like the Wargame equivalent of 95 points - a good chunk, but by no means excessive. Assuming Steel Division still awards you points about every 4-5 seconds, it's likely he's only been saving those points for around a minute.

If you think that's cool, look under the mini-map where the player names are listed.

It says [EUG]PapaYankee (90/105/120) and he has the 101st Airborne icon
and then AI COMPUTER (70/115/135) and he has the 12th SS Panzer Division emblem

Since we know that in Phase One, the developer has 90 income, it's reasonable to infer that the numbers next to the player names indicate the income per phase. So we can see that an airborne deck has a significant advantage in income in the early phases over an armored deck, but the armored deck's income increases more dramatically in the later phases, where they start to make more income.

And back to the topic, I see deployment points` unit's digit composing of ONLY 5&0

Hint Hint?

Yeah but what's that matter? While it's not definitive confirmation that the 5 point increment still exists for unit pricing, I'd say it's likely that it still remains. That said, moving to a larger overall pricing scale means there's a lot more room to play with anyways.

In other words, when infantry squads (in Red Dragon) cost 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 points then there's not much room to work with. But when all infantry squads (in Steel Division) cost 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 points there are more price points available for use.

I would be fine if they stuck with a 5 point increment policy, for units over 50 points. Less than that, and I think they should be more flexible and maybe change pricing policy to allow for 1 point increments.

Adding up numbers gets harder if you go with single points instead of fives and tens, of couse, so maybe instead they could just make the difference in price greater?
Don't think I would mind either way, though :p .

Keep in mind that a good rule of thumb for unreleased WIP games is to take all numbers with a large grain of salt. Could be a test setting where the dev has just given himself a thousand points, or numbers that are yet to be balanced.

What we did not see so far is logistic system. Same as in Wargame? Fuel + Ammo + Spare Parts? Or do we have specialized vehicles to get wrecked units out? Or only ammo?

I kind of don't mind the way it is now in wargame, but considering WW2 was this massive conflict where seemingly hundreds of tanks were sort of just abandoned after losing a track and those tanks were counted as 'kills'. I would kind of really really really like to see some sort of salvage. But that may be too much micro. You'd also introduce the issue of like having backup tank crews for these recovered vehicles.

Maybe start a new thread about it, Speilfurhrer.

For 5 point increments to work on reasonable level cheapest unit would need to cost at least 20 points. Otherwise system is just too rigid, meaning that you end up either with some units that are clearly subpar, or you will have to use ahistorical tweaks to nerf/buff units so that they fit into price bracket you are aiming for.
