Recently purchased CK2 and all DLC bundle from the sale, running version 3.2.1 (AZCE).

From start up the map at the main menu and in-game map are awfully noisy/blocky and look extremely low resolution. The UI and text is not effected and looks decent. I've tried searching for any solutions but am a loss and don't particularly want conquer medieval Europe through the resolution of a potato!

I'm running on Linux Ubuntu 18.04 and from what I've read think this might be an issue with Intel GPU's rather than my OS but my technical know how is lacking. See this old forum post that didn't go anywhere for a similar if not same issue.

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ad-blocky-on-linux-with-mesa-drivers.1029921/

Is this a known issue with any solution/work around?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

OS - Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 64-bit
CPU - Intel® Core™ i7-7567U CPU @ 3.50GHz × 4
Graphics - Intel® Iris Plus Graphics 650 (Kaby Lake GT3e)
RAM - 8GB

This game is not supported on Intel video systems on any OS. Certainly make sure you are using the latest Mesa driver.

But if that thread is correct and a shader fix is needed in the game, then the Bug Reports forum is the place for it.

BTW have you tried fullScreen and windowed modes? Played with the graphics options in settings.txt ?

Sorry, I didn't realise you'd posted elsewhere already then been directed here; that was the right thing to do, as normally this would be a tech support issue. But from your link it seems clear to me this is a game bug. However if it only appears on Intel video hardware, in all honesty it's unlikely to ever be fixed.

I will post in that BR thread to raise its profile a bit though.
