Playing CORE (0.25) as the Netherlands, i noticed a USA event passing by.
The USA decided to send the flying tigers to Nationalist china, then decided it was too expensive, then some volunteer fund covered the cost.

The incorrect part was that Nationalist China at that time was a puppet of Japan. It had lost the war. At the same time the Japan was at war with the USA.

It strikes me as something unlikely that the USA would send their enemy's alliance military help :p

Hehe, you think so? :) Well, I must admit that this is my fault, but I'll argue that the Flying Tigers was one of the first event chains I've ever written so I didn't consider a large enough scope.

I'll try and remember to get this into our bug-tracking system and get a fix done for 0.3.
(Another player reported that the chain triggered while the US was at war with Nat.China - which is even more wrong!)
