For those of you experiencing problems with a CTD on intializing graphics, I recommend you go out and get Norton System Works 2004. I have found, through my own experience and talking with others that, many game crashes are due to Bad Active X controllers on Windows XP. Since installing this myself, games like Neverwinter Nights, Diable, SimCity 4000 & HOI, which used to crash periodically or not run at all, I have no problem with anymore. This has also been echoed by some of the more savy knowledgable programmers I work with. I not certain this will solve other peoples problems but NSW 2004 is generally a good buy because many of Microsofts buggy operating systems.
