I am playing the Nintendo Switch Edition, of Prison Architect. I am currently working on a “Massive” map with Unlimiited Funds & no fail scenarios. I just wanted to have full freedom in design a prison, in a Sandbox-like mode.
I am including sectors & cell blocks for each of the Security Levels. Currently, in addition to my Main Office entrance front centerpiece, I have my Receptuon with Holding Cell(s) (basically, what would be “Booking”, in real life), Death Row, Protective Custody, & Criminally Insane Psych Ward. I would LOVE to move on, to Minimum & Medium Security sectors & blocks.
I am, however, having a major issue. I am CONTIJUALLY being bothered & pestered, by the notification that Some parts of my prison do not have a Power Source & to ensure all places and pieces with a flashing lightening bolt are connected to a Power Station. This is common sense really. However, when you go to the actual notification & click on it, all it does is take you to the Power Sourve Menu with the Power Cabel item already selected, and the map on the Power Source view. I have SCOURED my prison probably 50 tomes, carefully & slowly searching over every single corner with a fine-tooth comb zoomed in as far as possible. I fanNOT find ANY of these! There are absolutely no flashing yellow bolts, AND every single room, within a structure foundation is filled with a tone or shade of green (as each section has its own Power Station). When, clicking on the Notifactuon (L button to bring up Notifcations Menu, D-Pad to scroll to the one you wish to look at, A button to open it) it does not direct you to or travel to & zoom in on the part or parts that need to be hooked to a Power Source. As stated above, it ONLY takes you to the Power Cables in the Power Source Menu, that you could do yourself.
I REALLY wish they would invoice this feature (or patch even..?), in an upcoming Update. This is so frustrating. I have been searching for 2-3 DAYS now! This is absolutely MADDENING! I have even been very careful, when building parts. I Plan the entire section, before building anything. I play down all the basic Power Cables, build a small section at a time, and ensure that entire section is powered (room & electrical pieces/items). Nothing! I can find NOTHING!!!
Has anyone else had this issue on Switch or any other Console edition/version? Is it possibly a glitch or bug? Any suggestions, outside of just selling every Power Cable and rebuilding (this will take HOURS & leave plenty of potential tunnels behind). Please help!! Paradox, PLEASE add a feature that takes you TO the area or item that needs power or some other way of making it easily evident and visible!!!! I love the game and do not wish to just rage quit. But, I am literally losing my MIND, with this!
Paradox, add a new feature or patch/fix this bug in an upcoming (and SOON) update! PLEASE!!!

Thank you so much!! I really do appreciate it. I am pushing forward. Just dealing with it, for the time being. I hope this is able to be resolved. I am also hoping that maybe the inmates will kind of inform me, even if indirectly, where the issue is; once I begin intake, upon design & construction completion. If they don’t however, I will have to continue just dealing with this. If it IS a bug or glitch, there’s nothing I can do about it. In any event, thank you very very much!!
