Imho it would be better if all precursors quests were found in archaeological sites, like the Baol.

This means that if you find the first chain of the quest you'll be pointed to the next one and be able to complete it without needing to "buy" clues or waiting forever for anomalies.

Also I think that escavations are better for flavour reasons.

And of course I think the whole system should be revamped and balanced, everyone loves the Cybrex, Baol and the First League (sometimes the Zroni), but everybody else also needs some love.

I agree on the digging site thing. Depending on how clumped the galaxy is (and sheer luck) sometimes I can have 1/6 precursor discoveries after having surveyed all the systems around me.
It would help a bit to guarantee that the precursor is done in a reasonable amount of time.

Could all precursors also be limited to one player?
Or at the very least be fixed so there's proper events for when someone else finish the precursor chain before you.

I'd like it if Precursors got a balance pass, and if dig sites didn't try to "push" me to expand through Marauders and FEs -- let them pop up in my empire when possible, instead of trying to force me to expand as the first choice.

But I don't mind having two different mechanisms. In fact it might be nice to get a 3rd mechanism of some kind for even more variety.

Paying MA to get a Precursor clue takes a lot of pain out of the anomaly mechanic.

Funnily enough, making them archeology sites should do that. Neither Zroni nor Baol can have two people with them as a precursor because the moment the first digsite spawns, nobody else can get the event spawning the first digsite.

The two from Cosmic Storms theoretically also have that, but I haven't done enough testing to be sure (plus I plan to turn them off the second I can, given that they're focused on storms).

So in short, 1. I want this 2. It SHOULD end the duplicate hell in multiplayer just by being digsites.

I agree with the standardization with respect to Digsites. It also places more value on Archivism Tradition as it'll allow you to do Dig Sites in Territory not under your control with the Agenda helping you find more Digsites that may yield Minor Artifacts to exploit. Meaning if you like Archeo-Weapons and/or want to guarantee that you can complete a Precursor, this Tradition is a must-have. Now as for Precursors, Cybrex is pretty darn strong with a free Ring World(albeit you have to restore it), Mega Engineering(as research option), +10% Megastructure speed, Voidcraft Tech boost, Cybrex Mining Building for Starbases(meh), relic that can generate Alloys in a flash(albeit for Minerals) and Cybrex Warforms for Armies(which are virtually unstoppable). Don't really need to change Cybrex one iota.

First League gives you a Relic World(which you can make into an Ecumenopolis or keep for Minor Artifacts via Archeo-Engineers), techs for Arcology Project for more Ecumenopolis, +10% Planetary Build speed, Industry Tech boost and First League building that can be very strong on a Unity Ecumenopolis. Don't really see a reason to change that one.

Vultaum are also pretty strong. The building they provide buffs the living snot out of Physics Research(base output), Computing Tech boost, +10% Amenities and their relic yields -10% Amenities usage(really strong) and a random Combat buff for 2-5 years when activated. To say they're weak is not really valid imo.

Zroni are strong too but are ideally suited for Empires looking to Psionic Ascend. Yet even if you don't intend to, their relic extends the life of your Leaders via the Edict granted by it. Also can buff your Ships or Planets with a modifier for 5 years when active. The cream of the crop perk on Zroni is their Starbase building. Basically, makes Shields irrelevant, which against Unbidden, is a death sentence for them but with Archeo Ascension Perk, it slowly kills all enemy ships. Meaning it's an awesome Defense mechanism but heaven forbid you lose an outpost with one since taking it back will be insanely difficult.

Baol I don't even need to explain. Awesome for Catalytic builds, free 4 Pops + Gaia world every 10 years(wish it was every 5 but I digress) with Epigenetic Triggers to uplift species or Terrestial Sculpting to get jumpstarted on Terraforming. Yet at the same time I wonder what are they? Genetic precursor or Terraforming precursor?

When it comes to the Irassians, they should be the Genetic precursor. They help with Gene Clinics and Gene Tailoring if you don't have it but outside of that... that's it. They should drastically improve Genetic Modification progress they have planned in 4.0 and perhaps have it spawn Plentiful Fossils Dig Site that yields progress on Biology Techs as well as -25% Genetic modification cost(big boost to Genetics). Seeing as Zroni already buff Leader Lifespan via Edict, how about Irassian relic buffs Leaders by reducing Negative Traits by 1 or 2?

As for Yuht, I feel they are complete crap right now. Their Planetary Decision makes little sense given Terraforming exists and if you Genetically ascend, Climate preference can be changed(or simply get Gaia and not bother). The relic buffs Energy Weapon speed(ok) and +1 pops on colonization. Latter doesn't help when you're likely done colonizing when you acquire it. That means unless you go Tall with Habitats and/or Ring Worlds, you're not going to get much benefit from it. Personally, I think one Precursor should be tailored towards Machines outside of Cybrex. Not sure what I would do for Yuht but given they have a Cryo Core relic, maybe it could do something with respect to Energy or Machine upkeep.

Terraforming is something I would like to see changes as well, would be nice to have something that allow us to terraform a planet and have more control over its anomalies or bonuses, maybe a assencion perk that allow us to always choose anomalies in a card system like tech when terraforming planets, with a chance to having rare bonuses, world shaper seems so "meh".

I don't know really, but I feel it becomes trivial by the time we can actually terraform things.

I don't mind regular terraforming being bland, but this would be a great way to improve World Shaper.

Would love a buff for world shaper: "So, we're good at terraforming things right? Then choose which districts you want with a small chance of failing and one of these 3 planet anomalies".

I could see World Shaper as having the edge in getting potential job bonuses, rather than job density (Arcology Project and hive world a little) or infinite districts (hive worlds and Mastery of Nature a little).

It would become a relatively viable additional or alternative choice. Especially if a couple modifiers for things like unity, CG and alloy were added (I'd like them for things besides WS, but mostly for WS).

Personally, my wish for a World Shaper buff is to integrate it with Hydrocentric and Detox to permit you to Terraform any Barren, Toxic, Frozen and perhaps even Molten or Gas Planets into viable Habitable planets(latter would probably be best left to Habitats but Molten surely could be stabilized or "cooled" to a point it could be terraformed). The only reason to take Hydrocentric would be to buff Aquatic on Wet Worlds(which ought to include Gaia imo) and allow, with World Shaper AP, to add Ocean Paradise modifier to Gaia worlds(thereby turning them into godly Gaia planets for Aquatics).

As for beneficial modifiers like Lush and what not, I've often felt that it should be left to RNG. Yet you could have a small chance at gaining such a modifier when Terraforming(albeit very small). Alternatively, you could modify base output based on the type of Planet you have. Namely base output on Gaia's should be a bit higher than any of the base 9 while Tomb should be a bit less since it's a Tomb World. Now as for the base 9, each of the Climate biomes could have variance on output with each specific Climate being better at a particular resource(Wet for Food, Dry for Energy, Cold for Minerals). Relic would remain unchanged.

To steer this back towards the topic at hand, I've often felt that Precursors could, in some way, boost base Worker output like the Baol do with Food. Yuht, for example, could buff base Energy output via their Cryo Core relic while another could do Minerals(including Strategic output from Miners).

Worst case, you can get a Zroni Digsite on a Scavenger Bot at a border with Xenophobe fallen Empire. Meaning unless you use console commands, are unable to get your precursor in late game.

They could weight it so the precursor anomalies have a higher chance of spaming inside the empire, and if not inside it then on the nearest systems.

The Archivism Tradition is there at least a small fix. Then you "just" need to have cloaking.

Worse worst case, you get a Zroni Digiste in a dead-end system on the other side of a hostile FE or Marauder.
