Hey, I wasn't entirely sure if this has been already asked or not, couldn't find it after a few searches and a browse six pages back.

I think it has been taken for granted by a lot of posts about possible mods that it will be possible to set up a pre-made Galaxy for a set time period. I'm personally very excited to get in on the modding of a Star Wars mod for this game, but so far the only conversation I've seen from Paradox is talking about how everything is randomised within the Galaxy.

Are we going to be able to make a pre-set Galaxy? I'm hoping the randomisation won't be a hardcoded feature and having an established Galaxy will be relatively easy to make without meticulously editing save files to create the right planets for Star Wars, for example. Will it also be able to set up multiple start dates like that in CK2 and EU4 so a single Star Wars mod can encompass time from say the Clone Wars to the Legacy of the Force series? It'd be phenomenal if this will be possible, but I imagine there could be potential technical difficulties mixing this with the completely randomised Galaxy concept.

Edit: Actually, after reading the wiki, I just realised it says pre-defined galaxies can be modded in. But still curious about the time period thing from CK2 and EU4.
