Primal Fury Bingo

I am curious to see other peoples opinions on how they would mark their bingo card.

Personally I am leaning heavily into Nature-Shadow Culture for several reasons:

Firstly, The store description mentions the two new tomes as "New Tomes of Magic tap nature’s hidden powers and the Fey realms." Hidden powers obviously scream Nature-Shadow whilst the Fey Realms could be either Nature-Astral or Nature-Order.

Secondly are the past leaks that referenced Naga Transformation, Crocodile Mounts, Stag Mounts, and Smilodon Mounts. Both the Naga Transformation and Crocodile Mount hint at Nature-Shadow (the Crocodile mount because of it's connection to Swamps which I view mostly as Nature-Shadow) and the Naga because..it's a Naga.

Thirdly, in the past Jordi has stated that our previous guesses (Nature-Nature and Nature-Astral) were wrong leaving with us either Nature-Shadow, Nature-Chaos (unlikely - we already have barbarian) and Nature-Order (possible if Fey Tome ends up being Nature-Order but we also already have Feudal).

The second image is what I personally think are likely options to be added.

Elephant mounts, Goat Form, Weather Tome, Necro updates and anything Shadow/Nature related, however weird it is, since its opposing each other, are the biggies here.

Is it because of all the toxic players on this forum? I could kind of understand that.

If it was because of all the toxic players on this forum, I'd get that. But I find it hard to believe that discord is a haven of balanced, thoughtful gaming discussion.

Some think, its the modern way to communicate and forums are outdated. Makes sense for the AoW4 MP discord. But for a general community hub, i prefere a forum - its way easier to read, try to read something in their official AoW4 discord, it feels very spammy.

AoW1-AoW2+SM was entirely discussed with the devs at HG forums, and obviously it worked out real good and was easy to read.

Well maybe. To me, discord just feels like a forum skin. Also, it's far too much like slack, which feels like BEING AT WORK.

I mostly like it because it's a real time communication. Whereas on forums (depending on activity) it can take several hours to get a response. Which is fine for most things but it's also very poor for those who just want to enjoy talking to other community members. Like today, I posted over 150 messages on the official discord discussing Primal Fury and occasionaly off topic chatter regarding other things we would like to see in Future Expansions. Not once did I have to wait over 10 minutes for a reply. If I wanted to have the same disccussion on a forum It would probably take several weeks because of the lengthy periods between posts and replies.

On less active reddits it can sometimes take an entire day to get a response to your discussion...

The Bingo Card also has Nature/Astral and Nature/Nature as possibilities, so don’t lose faith yet.

Anyways, I personally can’t help but notice that “B4 April” is in the very middle. I.e. in what is usually the “Free Space” in Bingo.

The forums, as well as Steam Discussions and our Media Platforms, are for official communication. The Discord is a place for the community where some of use engage in casual conversation and shitposting.

The Bingo is just me messing with the folks that are on our Discord. For Empires & Ashes I also had them make Bingo cards and did my own, which was a tease since everything in it was correct. Now we've made Bingo cards for Primal Fury, but there's a bunch of Red herrings in my Bingo Card. It's just a fun way to discuss and have fun with the wait for Primal Fury. You don't have to join the discord, all important news and announcements will still be on the Forums.

Also thoughts about naga. They are amphibious but in current state amphibious units are worse than boarded. They are MUCH slower, defense penalty is not that strong, They don't have any meaningful advantage compare to units on ships. Something must be done before implementing naga.

Big felines AND raptors as a mount trait (and normal mounts).
Manticore as an epic tier 4 mount (like golem of severing).

UPD: also a new flying mount - gryphons.

I am doubting goat, it is too niche, I didn't even think of it. Big felines is a given to bring back into the series at some point though, even if I'm not sure whether they'd put them apart from making it an option for Tigrans... Or rats... Or Dwarves.

Nature/Shadow would be weird since as mentioned above they are opposing affinity. Not saying it's impossible. But a lot of us were speculating reavers were going to be Astral/Materium to create a magic powered tech army or something. But it ended up being Chaos/Materium. Astral/Nature might be more likely.

They're reavers, and both chaos and the dreadnought class was fire oriented. I dunno what a different magitek faction would look like since Tomes already have golems. It's also possible that the affinity itself could be overpowered, though materium is already powerful.

My take on forms:
Wolf - my personal favourite. Simple. Unproblematic. Open many custom factions. Very likely
Serpent - not sure, since we have some serpent looking faces for lizards already. Maybe.
Goat - almost sure bet. Satyrs fit nature + we lack horned heads. Only thing to solve - how not to put two more horns for demon kin transformation
Centaur - I think unlikely just because I lack imagination for mounted centaur or more precisely “centaur mounting a unicorn” is not exactly thing for AoW4.

Those are the most possible, imo.
