I have had this problem pretty consistently with the Tuesday night game and I encountered it again tonight, so I figured I'd go ahead and see if anyone can help me.

I am able to play some games, but others I seem to have problems connecting to. Tonight, for example, the host was Frederik, who I had absolutely no problem connecting to during the several hours or so of the Marathon he hosted. But tonight, I tried to connect to his game, and my connection appears to have been interrupted as soon as we started. The game loaded, I got my start box and all, and typed in, but was unable to see anyone else type anything for almost 30 seconds. Eventually I was able to see what everyone else was saying, but by that time they had thought I had already dropped or something. This happened a couple times tonight, and virtually every time I tried to join the Tuesday night game.

It's not just EU2 that gets interrupted when I join the game - I'm pretty sure my internet goes down for a short while. I'll get a "signed on" message on AIM, etc.

We have a router here, and I have placed my computer in the DMZ. If anyone is curious, it is a Belkin router. I do not have any ports enabled, figuring that being in the DMZ was enough.

Any ideas as to why this could be happening? And of course, any solutions?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds suspicious<HG is having the same problem> I'd imagine when the game approaches the start page it's blocked because EU2 Requires a certian port<which I highly doubt matters as Mcafee Firewall tells me that I don't require any more ports after starting V.Net and Hosting a game>the Firewall interrupts! Nasty little Router! Try disabling Firewall and play that way

EU2 sometimes appears to use other ports too than the "listed" ones. My solution in those cases is to disable the firewall on my router and forward all the ports to/from my computer.
