Bought Europa Universalis Rome gold and it loads allright but when i get to the screen when i have to choose a scenario to play i cannot do it and the date below the scenarios list in the left bottom of the screen is stuck at January 1. I can't change it no matter what i do so i cannot play any of the scenarios. Any help would be much appreciated.

All scenarios start in Jan 1 except one. Having clicked on a scenario name on the left, you'll see "no country selected" in the right side panel. Click on a country (eg Rome) then the Play button should turn from gray to stone, and you can click on it to start the game. Is that not what you find? If not, what are you seeing different?
