Problem loading a party

I am french and speaks little English ^ ^

I have a problem loading a scenario started long ago,

In all cases, the game stops.


What is it ? Are there any way to fix it?

What version of the game are you running and is it the same one you started the saved game with?

Yes, I always used version 1.00.00 (french), no patch and no mod.

Seems like the savegame is corrupted somehow. I don't think the 'target =' line above 'admiral =' is supposed to be there. You could try removing that line (keep a backup of the original file though). You really should patch; this could be the result of a bug that has since been fixed in one of the 6 patches.

I tried with the patch 1.04 but several other lines have an error. The file appears permanently corrupted.

I have a hypothesis:
Maybe I abused cheat code, there were astronomical numbers ( Mobilization, leadership, manpower, ..., three-quarters of the world to me xD ).

If you try to run an old savegame in a new patch you will likely get additional errors. In particular, 1.04 removed the 'heavy_cruiser' and replaced it with 'modern_cruiser' so old savegames will get errors since they contain references to the old ship.
