Problem trying to get peace.

Playing fantasy, I went to war with Incas. After a while, I wanted to try a broker a peacedeal, but I got:
'You must wait until APRIL 1563 until you can offer peace again.' I have two issues with this.
1) I haven't tried offering peace before at all.
2) It is October 1565.

Open up your save game file and take a peek at your country section.

Open your save game file with wordpad and look for the line “country = {“. There are eight sections like this. Look for the one with the next line of “tag = OHI” or whatever country you are playing. The three letter abbreviations are pretty easy to figure out.

After you find your country section, look for the sections:

diplomaticdates = {
wardates = {

They are located near the very end of the country section.

The diplomatic date section is the last time you made a diplomatic overture of any type to a country. You are limited to one per month. The war date section is the date when your last war ended with that country.

This section of your save game file may be messed up.
