Hey,
In my current Papal States game, I randomly (and stupidly) made certain countries majors. Im trying to figure out a way to un-major them, but I don't know how. If anyone can do this, can I send you the files and let you do it, or tell me what to do?

Are you playing the IGC or a regular game? Actually, no matter. What you do is open the save file in a text editor, like wordpad or notepad (not MS Word). Near the beginning of the file you are going to see a list of country tags. These are the countries that you can select from the top toolba on the main eu page. All you are going to do is delete the entries of the major countries that you don't want in the game. Make sure you don't delete your own tag entry! That should solve the problem.

If you are still having difficulty, in addition to the above steps, do a search of the save file for the following line "major = yes". For every entry yuou find like this in the save file, make the line "major = no". As above, make sure you don't change the line associated with your own country.

If you have any further questions or problems, let us know.

thanks stonewall, i figured it out like 5 minutes after my post :p
this should still help anyone that has that problem... What I had to do to make it actually load and let me play was:

1. Delete the "playable nations" entries
2. Change major=yes to major=no
3. Delete the majors in the...uh...what's it called...the book thing that you can see all of the current scores.

P.S. SPACES ARE IMPORTANT!

No Problem, glad to see that you figured it out. :)

Hm, glad he finally figured it out (he and I were fiddling with it through IMs for a long time before :p)
