Hi, I bought revolutions some hours ago and immedietly started a great war scenario. Everything runs fine until 1936 when I try to export the game. The screen gets black and I get a "Programmet svarar inte" which in english i guess would be the program doesn't respond or something like that. I still look in the export folder and find a EUG-file but not the small 1kb other file which is connected to the save. I then try to export before end of scenario but same thing happens..I installed over 1.04 but I read that wouldn't make a difference. I also got VIP installed but that's in another folder...

Thanks in advance

all you should need to do is copy the file from the exported game folder to your Doomsday saved game folder and you should be ready to roll.

Nice fast support there :D. I forgot to mention that i tried to copy but doomsday also crashed. Still victoria isn't supposed to crash when exporting right?

No it shouldn't, can you do me a favour. Go back to an earlier save and try exporting using the export button on the game options screen?

I don't knwo what the problem is here. I am going to have to get someone else to look at this tomorrow.

I tested exporting a 1914 scenario which went just fine. Might have found a problem though with the other save. A naval base expansion was going to be finished i januari 36...maybe the game cant handle that.

I've been having this problem, too, and it doesn't seem that that's the problem. I went back and deleted everything being built in my GC as Persia, and it still gave me a black screen and CTD when I tried to export. It still generates the eug file, but Doomsday hangs indefinitely while loading it. :(

I have this problem as well, when it exports it crashs. So obviously it didn't finish converting so I try putting it into DD anyways and it obviously wont work since it crashed during conversion.

I'm annoyed, i've been wanting to play this in hoi2.

Same problem here...
crashes when exporting

i have a save from 1894 and one from 1916
1894 exports fine
1916 crashes ( all saves later than 1916 crashes)

www.blogic.dk/save games.rar

here is a link to those 2 savegames... please fix :)

Thanks.

Like i've said earlier, it's random in which ones it is affecting.

I figured I would post my experiences as well for comparison. This is from another thread. I am using a converted game from EU2 but I have loaded it into Ricky and Vicky and played for a while so it should be "normalised" in that engine if that makes sense:

I get a standard windows xp error (you know the submit bug report one) as a result of a crash whenever I try to export my Revolutions savegame so I can use it in Doomsday!

NOOOOO

I am logging off for the night now but hopefully someone will suggest a fix for this for when I get home tomorrow.

Here is the last few lines of the file created, it crashes before completion of the export and always at 660kb. I have the latest patch for Viki.

Same thing happens here ... I was playing around with the exporter function, just to see what its like, and I could quite easily export with CSA in 1870

However it crashes on me as Texas. My guess is because, well ... Texas :p But still thought I'd bring it up :p

I just experimented some theory.

Yes. I see error-saved file by acroedit program. (similar as MS's txt program) All indicated that spain's tech team was went wrong as indicated by other's replying. :(

So, I created testing event that my controlled-nation annex spain anyway.
Output was wonderful. There was no more error I experienced when export my vic-rev. save file into the DD file.

As a result, I concluded humbly that there might be error at spain tech team
when exporting save files.

But I do not know exactly what factor act like revolter. Sometimes, at 1930,
exporting went well. But another times, at 1923, error was occured.

I advice humbly that if anyone whose do not want to see the error at exporting, just create event of annexing Spain until some patch release or any other measures clear the error. :p

Thanks for reading. :D

Hmmm, well I've been having a problem with my Sweden export.

I exported real early on ONCE, during maybe 1840s. It worked then, and the file was about 1400kb.

I tried later in the 1870s, but all I got was CTD and a file that was almost exactly half the size in the export folder.

DD hangs, of course, on loading it.

I hope this gets fixed; I don't want to have to have spent hours creating my uber overseas swedish empire for nothing!!! :p
