Problem with resolution...

I can only play on 800*600 resolution or the game crashes to desktop, before patch 1.02 I could play different resolutions without any problem, but on the other hand I have upgraded my graphic card to a newer one. Before I had ATI RageFury 128, now I have a Radeon 9000. Both uses the latest drivers from ATI.
i never played the game with patch 1.02 with my old card and I never played patch 1.01 with the new one so I can't say if it is the patch or not.

My System Specs.

AMD Athlon XP 2100
512 MB DDR 400MHz Ram
ATI Radeon 9000 64MB
Windows XP Servicepack 1
DirectX 8.1

There are to many crashbuggs in this game so far for my taste, these should be hunted down before release. It is on the verge of unplayable for me.

Support issue... This seems to have been reported before. Ask around in the Support Forum.

Try renaming the avi folder in your HOI directory to AVIOLD.

Yepp, that worked like a charm, thanks... but the game are still a little to buggy for my taste.
Still... now I can play it for a while until it crashes randomly.

Have you downloaded the optional Windows Update patch that addresses the crash issue with some types of video files on certain systems? It's not in the "Critical Updates" auto-select download but is on "page 2" of the updates so you have to tell XP to specifically d/l it.
