CK was running absolutely perfect w/ 1.02, but now that I've downloaded 1.03 I'm having frequent crashes to desktop and choppy gameplay/scrolling. I'm running a Pentium 3 at 746 Mhz w/ 256 RAM and have 4GB of 18.6 GB hard disk space. My video(4MB) and sound cards meet the requirements. Any suggestions or answers??? :confused:

Johan is working on it, 1.03 has been withdrawn.
 
Revert back to 1.02 for now.
 
Except it is not there and has not been for a while. ;)
1.03A is there now which is fine.

My assistant couldn't have downloaded have downloaded 1.03 any sooner than yesterday or the day before. I'll assume by you saying 1.03a that means it's different than just plain 1.03, and as such within that time frame would I have downloaded 1.03 or 1.03a?

Do I need to do the clean install with the 1.03a, as I did with the 1.03?

1.03 was only available for a short time hours not days.
1.03a is the fixed version of 1.03. ;)

It is always advised to do a fresh install.

2.08Ghz 512M ram 64M video card Xp Pro resolution 1280x1052.

I am getting frequent CTDs and can't complete a game year. I'm doing nothing but sitting and watching the screen when it happens, so it's nothing I'm doing.

This is frustrating.

Did you perform a clean installl?

Do you play a new game, started under 1.3b?

Try and rename your avi folder to avi.old

Try and set the color dept to 16bit.

Turn off all background programs

Try to reinstall CK
 
ugh 16 bit.

And after a reboot, it now seems to work fine. Time to go complain about the Christians being Ok with the Muslims going on a killing spree :D
 
I think he was trying to say 16BIT color Depth.

Glad the reboot helped. :)
