Problems loading game

I have spent two days cleaning up my games, installing HOI2, Installing HOI 2 DD, Installing HOI DD armageddon, just so I can install Iron Cross. I have uninstalled everything, gone to regedit and removed the DD bit, gone to APP and removed old DD games and the folders, gone to folders and removed all DD folders. Re-installed from scratch.

New HOI 2 (unpatched)

New HOI2 DD (unpatched)

New HOI Armageddon (unpatched)

New Iron Cross (unpatched)

and now I get the message


" Critical error

excel file not found."

and the game aborts.


I am tearing my hair out.

Please can someone tell me what the problem is?

I made one big mistake in trying to patch the game.

In the last two days I have had error messages for every game I tried to load, I have finally got every game working until Iron Cross. I want to go back to what I had a week ago , but I made the mistake of tryng to patch the game and this is what I am left with. It seems that nobody wants to know.

Well, first try to install hoi2,dd and arma. Run the game and post your cheksum

I recommend installing in a patch like c:\games\hoi2
