ok heres my problem.
its 1530 and Im Saxony. Greater Saxony has been created when we annexed the provinces of Baden and Thurringin to add to my first 2 provinces. My Relation are completely Red. I mean Completly, Everybody in germany is pissed at me(-200 relations or more, all red!). Tho Clearly I emerged the strongest of the Orignal German States. However recently, When I ventured in the Palatine. The whole Magilla of of about 6 tiny german States (colgne,Brandenbrg,Lorraine,Hessen,Palatine, and wurtemburg) Declared war on me. And my tiny 52 strong Saxon Army was routed from the province of Mainz. Then I accepted white peace.
Basically my Question is, How the hell do you keep relations up so that this wont happen. Other than showering these guys with gifts, Because a small nation like Saxony clearly cant afford it. How can I back up from the Badboy cliff? Is there a way to still Divide and conquer without having there Alliances to worry about? Royal Marriages dont seem to do the trick btw, they just attack with the marriage still there.
Diplomacy is very difficult. The AIs attitudes turn on a dime.
Solutions please? if any!
Also Inflation is at 18%. how the hell do you reduce inflation I have no loans to pay back.
