Problems with annexing

Ok in my game as Canada after years of super-fierce fighting i finally got USA but when i try to annex them the game crashes with a fatal error

I tried reloading couple of times but same thing happens

Any ideas ?

I highly doubt that it's the game's way of saying "DON'T ANNEX THE USA"
Make a puppet and try again, then just kill the puppet. It does the same thing after all, will take a bit longer, but should help you.

Ok i got to work after 5-6 reloads

But this time im having problems with couping i reloaded 4 times now
