In VIP, some events just are not firing... Mainly the ones after the perry event.

I am not sure what this is... event files aren't as organized as gceep(or what ever ftg was called).

I know it is an ai event, but none of these sleepevents are in the event notepad. And they never happen when you are human, because there is no tokugawa or naosuke successions. While playing up to 1867, I keep seeing how the emperor is paying off the western civilizations for something another faction has done, usually 'pay 10,000' or 'pay 7000 to french british' and etc

If someone could explain to me where the mission events are (if someone its in a different notepad that I havn't seen yet and this notepad directs some events to that one. Would be great to know :S I wasted a couple days on japan and it really sucks to find out it was for nothing.

Found out vip changed the path to civilizing as japan without mentioning it in the hotfix or mod info itself. The only vanilla event it uses is the perry event. The path to civilizing is linear with no change of altering (that i know of) and it goes through a setup to a civil war between kyoto emperor against the shogun in edo(who controls just about every other providence). At 1867 you civilize then get 2 more events about sending a mission to the west each giving about 20-30 tech points and more prestige and lower relations with korea/china. Then later the civil war starts(its pretty simple :/). Eventually (if you chose pro tokugawa, the royalist will eventually start to lose and retreat to the north and amass a 280,000 + army (I sent 100k infantry with some artillery and lost only 30-40k). After you win that battle you annex them, and that is that.
