I have a technical problem that I need your help with please.
Game Version & Patch (incl. publisher): DL'd from Gamersgate, both Vicky and V: Rev. 2.00 patch
OS & build/SP: Windows XP Service Pack 2,
Computer, CPU & speed: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @ 2.93GHz
RAM: 2.75 GB
Free HDD space: 31.3 GB after install
Video (brand, model, driver, memory): Dual GeForce 8800 GTX, nv4_disp.dll (Version 6.14.11.6921), 768 mb RAM
Sound (brand, model, driver): Creative X-FI Audio Processor (WDM), ctaud2k.sys (5.12.01.1187-2.09.3060)
DirectX Version: 9.0c

I read the stickies but I still have the following problem: After all the intros are done, I receive several errors involving the DB. I have tried ignoring the errors, then as the game attempts to load, when it tries to initialize the interface, the bar freezes with the music playing fine. If allowed to get to this point, manual restart is required to get out of it. Any help would be much appreciated.
