Problems with my gift

First, thanks for the free copy! Just installed it.
But, after launching the game, I´m sent back to desktop. The game is running, I can hear the music, but I can´t get "into" it. I´m always sent back to desktop. What should I do? Thanks.

I have never heard of such a bug. But might I suggest that you uninstall the game, reinstall it, and before starting it, apply the latest beta-patch from October 2008?? ... maybe try with the beta patch first. I f that doesn't work, do the reinstall.

1. Rename the avi folder to aviold
2. Install the latest drivers for graphi c card.

4. Innstall Ck, rename avifolder. does it run? If yes, install DV inside the CK folder. Then install the patch. Unrar it inside teh CK folder.
