I recently started working on a rather large project which I decided to work on along with my first time making a "City Journal" thread: City of Montburgh.
After starting this project, I decided to make a couple font mods for Procedural Objects. One of these fonts adds Highway Shield images for use on highway navigation signs!
I recently uploaded an initial version to Steam, and it is now available.
The initial version includes three images, all are different color variations of the same layout, based on the Colorado State Highway Shield.
Each color represents a different kind of highway.
Red--Intercity Freeway: Multi-lane divided controlled-access highway, similar to Interstate Highways.

Blue--State Highway: Any numbered highway, usually smaller streets which run through towns, but can also be controlled-access highways if need be.

Green--Alternative Intercity Freeway: May or may not also be a multi-lane divided controlled-access highway, sharing the same number designation as it's parent highway, and follows a nearby or branching route, connecting at one or both ends to the parent highway.

More colors are in development and more may be made as I have ideas for them.

The different types of highway for each color is simply how I use them (and planned for them), but you can obviously use them however you wish.
The numbers are NOT included! The white space where the numbers are located are initially blank. To add numbers, simply create a new text field, write any number, size it so that it fits in the space, and place the text over the sign image.
1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-digit numbers are recommended. 5-digit numbers may be too long.

Here is a couple screenshots of it in use:
