As we hope for an uncertain ressurrection of Imperator some time in 2022, we, the players who do not know how to mod, turn to you, modders. You are going to be the only ones expanding this great game for now.

Let the community know here your mods, either already available or in the works, that can help expand gameplay experience and depth. Especially depth.

I've slowly been working on an Exalted mod for Imperator through lockdown. Still very early stages of mapwork and very little so far to show for it, but I plan to continue despite the news!

Give my "Stratera Balance"-mod a try.
Balance the game much more, make mechanics better for longer games but also more historical accurate. Nearly everything is rebalanced, for much more options to play - from Britannia to India.

Also offers a shattered World scenario good balanced for Multiplayers!

You mean the tabletop RPG Exalted? God that's a blast from the past... Exalted was my first ever pen-and-paper RPG, 15 years ago or so...

This is literally the first time I have heard somebody talk about Exalted since high school... Strange to see it brought up here, now. As if my mood wasn't sombre enough already...

That's the one aha! Would that have been 1e that you played? The community is still niche but strong, and the game's currently on its excellent third edition. It's slow work, but I've finished a province map of the Blessed Isle and Scavenger Lands, and am slowly working through the rest of the Threshold now. Haven't started any scripting or content as of yet. I know that someone on the Exalted Discord has also been working on a CK3 mod, but I'm not sure what their current progress is or if they are carrying on with it.

It's also an IP that's actually owned by Paradox now (along with all the other, more famous White Wolf stuff), funnily enough. I started working on this because I was spending too long daydreaming about what if Paradox actually decided to make a game for it.

Vae Victis is a mod i've been working on for almost a year which focuses on making combat and warfare more deep and challenging.

Added features include:

Cultural unit modifiers
- each culture units will be be different eg Iberians will excel in hills and Indians in jungles, Macedonians will struggle in mountains and forests but excel on flat terrain.

Terrain modifiers for combat - Units get bonuses and malus to different terrain types, if you have lots of light infantry then fight heavy infantry in jungles, mountains and hills.

Enhanced supply
- Province supply limits are modified by seasons - winter in the mountains wont be kind. Units consume more food and carry less making the need to assault or abandon a siege something to consider.

Tactics - Split into 3 types specialised/normal/flexible - specialised tactics will be a stronger counter to a couple of tactics and flexible tactics will be a weaker counter to more different types of tactics. Play it safe or roll the dice.

Longer sieges
- The time to conquer a territory varies according to its level of civilisation. Highly civilised areas are easier to conquer whereas poorly civilised areas will cause a lot of attrition due to increased capture times. This represents the ease of conquering more politically centralised people. Kill the king to take the kingdom vs conquering 100 independent villages to capture an area.

More losses in battles

Slightly faster movement speed

Smaller mercenary armies

Better Generals -
the martial stat of generals increases the morale and movement speed as well.

Winter mountains - Severe movement penalties in mountains during winter.

I haven't played since 2e, AKA the Essence Beams Edition. Always loved Exalted, though, and Onyx Path has done good work on 3e from what I've seen. At any rate, I'm definitely interested in an Exalted mod! I'll be sure to keep an eye out.

Imperators' Navigable Rivers is a map overhaul mod that I have been maintaining and updating for the past 2 years. I like to think that it does 2 things.

Greatly Increase the number of major rivers, adding 500 river tiles across 55 river systems.
3EADCABAFD1A0E1DB9BC534ABCB4EEA60653060A

Grant potential port access to more places, with 300 new ports split between the Caspian, Aral, several major lakes and rivers. Giving most inland provinces at least one, preferably two places to build a port.
