provoking others into declaring war

Anybody knows how can I provoke countries into declaring war on me, instead of me declaring war on them and as a result further increasing my BB rating? Write now, i am too powerful for any country to declare war on me, unless I am at war with somebody else as well, so the only way I can expand is by declaring war myself. However,my BB is already 60 at 1700, so I would not want to increase it much further.

you can refuse to trade with,which gives them a casus belli and that will probably get the chance of them declaring war bigger

Two things...declare war on a non-european member of an alliance containing the country you want to go to war with. The Mysore-England alliance that always seems to evolve in my games is good for this. You get non BB for declaring war on them. But you will take the "agressors" BB if you take provinces and make a seperate peace with them. This won't happen if you can provoke England to declare war on you and the embargo is the best way. Alternately, since you have such a high BB declare war on someone you DON'T want a province from that isn't in England's alliance and wait for England to declare war on you...

If your badboy is already 60, it's not going to matter whether it gets any bigger or not. First war you get into - aggressor or otherwise - the world and his dog is going to be after you

(At least you can buy off the dog with nothing more than a nice big stick to chase.)

if your target has a CoT, then you can go for commercial war: flood his CoT with your merchants and hope that he-she-they will opt for embargo.

Yesterday, I embargoed Holland and England, but they still were too afraid to declare war

Thats true. Yesterday when I declared war on the Netherlands, almost 20 countries imidiately declared war on me simultanesouly, but most of them sued for peace in few months.

Last night I had France and her allies declare war on me (due to my anti-France trade embargo) right after I DOWed Spain and her allies for a Spanish embargo.

Then I had the Papal states DOW me too. All this and my BB when I started was only 7. I had to back out of the Spanish war to fight the French. They stormed Helvetia, (which I got in a Royal Inheritance) but I conquered 1 of his northern provinces and one of his NA provinces, so when I gave him a peace offer for return to status quo, he took it. That cleared me to crush the Pope.

Now Queen Elizabeth has Protestant troops one province from Rome.
