Sorry that you are having this issue :/
To my knowledge we haven't been able to reproduce this yet.
So unfortunately I can't do anything else than thank you for reporting the issue.
Even if there are more reports on this issue; each new report brings us information that might help us find what's causing the issue.

As to my knowledge people have been able to finish the game and it actually seems like only a minority are having this issue based on the reports (which is why it's so hard to reproduce).
If a full reinstall helps; please get back to this thread so other people (and we) get that info :)

Sorry that I didn't answer your other thread; I saw it but was kind of hoping we would be able to reproduce it so I could give you some better news :/

Np. Thanks for the update. Well, I can confirm the bugs remain after full install. For me, the save bug still happens immediately after White Forge activation or loading Caed Nua lv 10 100%. I could probably still finish the game, as I believe both areas are optional. Though, I suspect there may be other triggers and I'm hoping that this eventually gets fixed. Besides this and a few other bugs, I really enjoy the game and would love the chance to experience all of it.

Hmm... If you have a save close to Caed Nua lvl10 (or anywhere you can make it happen 100%) . Could you try dumping your whole stash and inventory and then going to Caed Nua lvl10?
It's just a hunch but if that works; it could be that the game is running out of memory while doing the auto save.

Thanks for trying that out; it helps a lot :)
Now we "just" have to figure out why some people are running out of memory while others are fine...

Have you done anything else that might increase the save game memory?
Have you stashed a lot of items in containers anywhere or something like that?

Well; almost everything you do in the world gets saved somehow (great for immersion; not great for memory) and I don't actually know what is most memory-expensive in the end (Haven't been working on this issue personally).

The inventory is for sure a culprit though. Storing stuff in a random container somewhere might be a viable solution but that will increase the memory intensity (makes this issue more likely and increases load times) of the map that container is located in.
Selling stuff to a vendor does the same thing for the map the vendor is located in.
Storing items in the stash also does the same thing except that you take the penalty(load time + memory size) of those items for each map you enter.

My colleagues also told me that the each time you get the save dialog opened after you make a save (manually or automatically); that is an indication that the save didn't actually go through.
This means that the saves that seems to have been lost were actually never made :/ (They will sometimes show in the system though, but those saves are corrupt and not loadable)

Maybe but it's not likely. Destroying the items you are not picking up will only affect the saving/loading of that particular map.
If you get the save dialog popped at you after the autosave but you still manage to play the level; it might help but it depends on how much items there are and how much memory you need to recover in order to make the save work.

Weapon sets can be switched from the ability radial.
We are hard at work on our major patch that is why we are not churning out patches as often. The major patch will fix a lot of issues. We are aiming to release the major patch this month.

I know this bug is super frustrating and that losing progress really sucks :/
Just wanted to let you know that we have at least one way to reproduce the issue and that we are still actively working on it. It's a really tricky one to fix though.
Just don't overwrite your saves (they MAY still be recoverable) and say a prayer to the code gods every now and then and hopefully we can get this sorted out.

You are asking me to PRAY?????????????? This is outrageous! I pay a lot of money in this game! I been through 100 hours in there! And you answer is "pray"??? I cannot believe this! Its your JOB solve this problem, sir! But, i know that do nothing is my only way. I cannot move legal actions on your company, because i am only a simple mortal. I cant believe it, never been so harassed in all my life. You all may laughing at my face in there. Pardon my english, im from Brazil. Your are the worst company in the history of games. Asking me to PRAY!!!!!!!!

You probably misunderstood the last part. I was just trying to lighten up the mood. I was not actually asking you to pray for a solution.
As I said; we are working on it but it might take some time and we can't guarantee that we can solve it 100% due to quite technical reasons and the fact that we can't change a lot of things without breaking everyone's saves altogether.

And just to be clear: We are taking this issue seriously (if anyone thought otherwise). We are all gamers and we know the pain of losing progress.
