PS4: unable to access resource manager after viewing colony stats

i'm at about sol 95 and I've invested about 8 hours into this. When I press L2 & then click on colony overview, it is stuck on the colonist stats/traits. For some reason I can’t get it back to resource overview. Help! I've tried to hold down R2 and use the D-pad but that does not work here. Do I just have to start over?

Try opening the overview and then just click R2 (not hold) which will put you into menu mode and then try to press left and right on the d-pad after that to go through the menu. Holding R2 is the shortcut mode which I have found seems to randomly work and not work all the time.
