Before today I looked down on psifishes. I didn't think much of it. Until this battle in the screenshot where an small army of them attacked the sector base in Flat Valley sector.

They attacked it, I was like meh I'll be fine, they are nothing. Its just an stupid npc faction that's gonna be just useless. Whatever i'll just check out what they'll be like in a fight. I remember they have some sort of mind control and only one unit will have it anyways. That's nothing I"ll just snipe the mind controller fish.

I set up positions and then Vanguard walker, Trooper, Engineer, gunship got dazzled, enticed, and even my laser tank. All of suddenly I start to realize how powerful they are. Almost all of them have mind control shenaigns, and the walker started marching towards the psifishes while they remained out of my range of return fire.

Poor tank managed to fire and kill three of the attacking psifishes while his comrades just stood around and got slaughtered.

I quickly understood after this battle, numerical superiority is very important when battling against psifishes. If equal in numbers, It can be winnable. But if Psifishes have the advantage over you in numbers.. you only can pray for painless death. Or do your best to nail the mind controllers while limiting the number of deaths as much as possible.

I swiftly avenged the milita by smashing them with 18 units that arrived by next turns. I should have paid close attention to the dev journal on psifishes. lol

I had a psi fish army with lots of experience and all tiers.
Nothing could stop them in an equal battle, unless enemy resisted abilities.
They just go: "Nope, you're not going to do anything today my friend."

One of them has an ability that instantly deals with low tier organics. Making them run around for 2 turns, and if the debuff isn't cured they turn into a crysalis. Basically you really want mechanical stuff or mindless against them.
