A question to anyone who's done some of those snazzy maps floating around..

I've edited part of the map in a layer on top of the Shading - copied and pasted it as 2nd new layer, locked it, and coloured the correct ID colours overtop. Problem is now, I've got "soft" edges all around the edge of the province IDs, instead of the 100% hardness pixels that I need. Is there a solution that will allow me to make the edges perfect while keeping it locked, or will I just have to unlock the damn thing and go around all the edges again with the pencil tool? It looks pretty terrible that way. Best I could come up with was using the Sharpen filter, but that still leaves semi-soft edges, no matter how many times I run it. Any suggestions? (hope this doesn't sound garbled)..

Thanks.

Ahh...

Gotcha... well, the next map attempt will be better I suppose. That tutorial's great - it's definitely tricky, figuring out just what layer combos to use on one's own. Thanks!
