Don't know if this is answered somewhere already, but will CK have PTI (I hope not...)

And how far will the map actually go eastwards? ie: to the borders of india, china, persia????

There will be plenty of PTI! :D

The map covers west to Iceland, east to parts of Persia, north to Scandinavia and south to North Africa and parts of Arabia. Everything outside that will be PTI... ;)

sounds good to me, though i do wonder about the mongol hordes, how will china be simulated?
China won't be simulated. That's the beauty of narrowing down the map: You don't have to think about modeling China, India, America etc. :)

Still leaves the Mongols though. I anticipate that there will be an outcry if they aren´t in the game.;)

Sure. But it'll be a lot easier to model them as some horde pouring in across the right edge of the map instead of modeling their entire expansion :)

True enough, but the issue of them eh "staying put" as they did in some places still remains. Although I admit I have little knowledge in the inner workings of the golden horde to know how they functioned. Although thanks to the fact that the designers are russians they should have that corner covered.

The entire map should be known, but, as mentioned elsewhere, it will only include Europe, North Africa, and part of the Middle East.

But, but I want my Meso-American tribes... and surely you all know that civilisation started near the Indus. It's all so Euro-centric.

;)
:D

I like the map idea. Makes for more provinces in Europe, and more provinces means more fun!

this dosn't bother me to much, i mean, it is about the crusades :p

The a map of the whole of Eurasia (to japan) would be fun, with all the spice routes etc, but then again, this game is more like a middle ages, venitian trading one :p

The thing with the mongols is how they can be simulated properly without being over powered or underpowerd. will they be a small collection of provinces with a massive army that just conquers initially to get the land, or will all mongolia be in?

atleast with this map no one can complain that they conquered the world by 1285 :p

Maybe the known world, then...? ;)

Seems like Mongols would just be a lot of armies appearing in provinces bordering the eastern edge of the map and trying to push ever westward. Nothing too complicated about that.:)

Except maybe if you play some Rurikid of course..;)

Well, then you might have some complications. But to simplify matters just cede some provinces. And then some more provinces and then....:D
