Whilst browsing steam forums I came across a question about whether or not it was possible to download a pack rather than individually...it's not rocket science, but its not something that occurred to me to try either, so I did.
  • I copied all the assets I wanted from my %appdata%....blahblah folder
  • Choose the first one in-game and chose publish, followed by the little folder icon.
  • I then copied all the desired .crp files into the content folder and published.
I quickly made it private and tested it.... it worked by making sure my assets folder was empty and subscribing to my new 'test' pack.

It worked, so you can indeed publish a pack, although the in-game menu will still show all the content individually, they will be linked to the same WS page and subscribing / unsubscribing from one item will remove them all.

I'm not sure if its recommended but for a few things which belong in a set it may be handy... tree's perhaps come to mind.
Some things are best left in collections though.

Just thought I would post it here.

This accrued to me a few days ago to try out when done with my stuff. I did not want to upload the set individually, but rather as a set, and thought this might be a way to do so.
Thanks for confirming that this will work. :)

Sounds interesting, I do make a lot of tree types of one kind of breed that I consider a collection/pack of trees. However I don't think I will go this route because I know myself like to have control over my assets and like to cherry pick stuff at time. I will give people that opportunity with my stuff, some people may not need every single tree I put out and may only want 2 of the 7 of a certain breed I put out, etc.

Thanks for posting this info though! :)

Good to know its possible, for tree assets that sounds like a great idea, although just be sure to explain its a pack, so people don't get pissy at downloading more than they asked for. not that i imagine they would, just dont want people screaming virus
