Tried to open the game today and none of my purchased DLCs are recognised as purchased by the game when it launches. Checked the launcher, all DLCs are showing as purchased and enabled.

Tried relaunching the game, logging out and re-syning the paradox launcher - all the usual things but the game still doesn't recognise that I have any DLCs. I'm not using the new open-beta and have no mods.

Do they show in the Steam-Manage My DLCs list as enabled?

If so, how about in our launcher's DLC tab?

If both those are yes, Please do a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-Vic3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Victoria3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add Victoria3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Victoria3 or Documents Victoria3 locations, before installing again.

Booted up the game after my antivirus app did an auto-update and everything seems to be working fine now, so I think antivirus conflict may have been the issue. Didn't need to reinstall or delete any files.

Thank you very much for the help! :D

We have some other reports of this problem here in this forum. What AV app are you using please?

I use Avast, but also have Windows Defender. It was Avast that auto updated. I checked Windows Defender and all my Paradox games are automatically added to my exceptions list so I don't think the issue was with WD.

Can I ask what else may be causing this? I went through all the steps above, both uninstall/reinstall and AV related (plus I don't have other AV software), and am still getting no DLC in the game, as seen below. Thanks!

One other detail potentially worth noting is that though the launcher indicates the DLC's presence. I don't actually launch the game through the launcher, but the actual .exe file directly because the launcher no longer works to launch the game.

That is the cause of your problem. We need to fix your launcher issue.

Please try this:

- uninstall Paradox Launcher v2 from the Windows "Apps and features" utility, if still present.

Delete the following folders if still present:

- C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

- exit the Steam app entirely
- run steam.exe as the Windows Admin user

- run the game from the PLAY button in Steam

IF that doesn't help, in this folder are some .log files:
C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
Please attach them here.
